Legalized translation of documents can be quite complicated especially for expats. However, the process has become simplified over the years.

Documents which have been translated from origin languages of French, Spanish, German or Italian into Arabic must be carried out by authorized and certified translators who carry a stamp and are officially recognized from UAE Ministry of Justice.
Any other language combinations other than ones mentioned above need to be attested by UAE Consulate in the country of origin.
Therefore, it is always recommended to cross-check what kind of legal translation is required and for what purpose, as sometimes certain documents might not be useful for a required purpose thus saving time and expenses.
